When Toughness is Needed
Trowel grade epoxy is the ultimate concrete coat for thickness and toughness! For heavy-duty equipment workshops, manufacturing buildings, chemical plants, and factories, trowel grade coatings are ideal. They handle more loads, corrodents, and traffic. If your concrete takes much punishment, it must have a trowel grade epoxy covering.
A caveat about trowel grade epoxy is that because it is thicker, added curing time is often needed. There are also ideal temperatures for adding trowel grade floors. Above seventy degrees Fahrenheit, the epoxy can harden in 8-12 hours and the protective clear coat that goes on top can solidify in the same amount of time. On that occasion, it is okay to walk on the epoxy coats, but the final cure necessitates 7 days. Below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, it takes added time for successful curing and if the temperature drops below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, the thickness of a trowel grade epoxy coating really should not be attempted. Thus, this is usually a late spring, summer, or early fall job.
Trowel grade demands significant skills and experience to lay down correctly. Nevada Custom Coatings has the teams and tools needed to meet the needs of any industrial or commercial site.
