When Toughness is Wanted
Where heavy traffic or extreme demands are normal, the epoxy flooring needs a trowel grade application. It is the ideal system available for maximal longevity, creating a surface with double the thickness of our typical business or home process. Trowel grade is recommended for floors that handle a lot of weight (such as from heavy-duty forklifts), as well as where concrete contact with caustic or corrosive chemicals is common.
With thicker coats comes added time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is applied at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Below that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes longer to cure. Normal curing time is 8 to 12 hours for each coat. The complete cure, when the usual activities can begin again, is after 7 days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade coats are best not attempted.
Trowel grade necessitates real skills and experience to be applied correctly. Nevada Custom Coatings has the staff and equipment essential to match the needs of any commercial or industrial site.
